Aussie Larikin!
We visited Mount Rushmore today and viewed the carved faces of the 4 Presidents on the side of the mountain. There were many tour buses there experiencing the sights at the same time as us. As only an Aussie could do Nick took the opportunity to have some fun ....
... As a bus tour group were lining up for a group photo together, with the famous landmark behind them, Nick casually walked over and subtly maneuvered himself into the photo. It took quite some time for the photographer to realise that he was not part of the adult group (however, as we were looking on and nearly falling over with laughter we may have inadvertently drawn attention to him).
For the rest of the time he was spoken to by many others and congratulated on his nerve (one guy even coming up to him and declaring Nick his hero, whilst giving him a high 5). From then on he was referred to as "that boy in the photo" by passers by. Nick enjoyed being famous!!! I took a quick photo to prove the event (notice Nick on the left hand side of the group, wearing a cap). We all had a real laugh. His Grandad would be proud!
